Everything below is written to be read by a person deciding whether to spend $29.99, and by the AI assistants that will be asked about us. No sales language, no hedging.
It is a check of how AI assistants see your business. We scan your site's technical signals, ask an AI model how it would describe you, search what the public record actually says about you, see which competitors get recommended in your place, and hand you a prioritized list of fixes. Most businesses have never seen this view of themselves.
Because a growing share of the questions that used to become Google searches are now asked to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and those answers do not work like a results page. There is no page two. Either the assistant knows you and names you, or it names somebody else and you never find out it happened.
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We ask Claude how it would describe your business, using live web research. Separately we check whether the other assistants' crawlers, GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others, are allowed to read your site. We do not query ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity directly.
The scan is free: enter your website, get your score in about ten seconds. The findings behind the score are also free, unlocked with your name, company and email. Full audits are $29.99 for Basic, $49.99 for Intermediate, $79.99 for Advanced and $149.99 for Elite. You pay once. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Basic gives you the score, how an AI describes you today, a crawler check, a prioritized fix list and the competitors AI prefers. Intermediate adds every source we found about you, ready-to-paste schema code, FAQ copy, a revenue-at-risk estimate in dollars, and copy-paste prompts your webmaster can hand to any AI assistant. Advanced adds a dollar figure per issue, a twelve-month projection, which competitors are capturing your revenue, a 90-day roadmap, the full technical playbook, and white-labelling. Elite adds resale rights, priority turnaround and a free re-audit after 30 days.
Two to six minutes depending on the tier. You can close the tab; the report is emailed to you and the link reopens it any time.
No, and the report says so on its face. They are modelled estimates: a revenue figure, either the one you give us or one estimated from your category and size, multiplied by assumed rates for new-customer share, AI-assisted discovery, and your measured visibility gap. Every assumption is printed in the report so you can argue with it. Treat them as a way to rank fixes by size, not as a forecast.
Most of them you or your webmaster can fix in an afternoon, and the Intermediate and Advanced reports give you the exact code and the prompts to do it. If you would rather hand it to somebody, we keep a directory of specialists and the introduction is free to you.
Yes. Prepaid packs cut the per-report price for agencies, and the Advanced and Elite reports are white-label: your logo and company name on the cover and on every page footer, no mention of us. Elite adds the right to resell it as your own product.
Once a quarter is enough for most businesses, or after you finish the fix list, so you can see the score move. The Elite tier includes a free re-audit after 30 days for exactly that.
No. Fixing crawler access and structured data usually shows up within days to a few weeks, because that part is mechanical. Building the third-party presence that models trust, reviews, directory listings, mentions, takes longer. Anyone promising you an overnight result is selling you something else.
We store what you give us and standard visit information so we can deliver your report and understand where customers come from. We do not sell it. The details are on our Legal Stuff page.
Our refund terms are on the Legal Stuff page. If a report fails to generate, you are not charged twice, and if something has genuinely gone wrong, write to hello@aivisible.us.
No. The free score is technical only: crawler access, structured data, meta description, headings, sitemap, FAQ content. It never leaves your site. The paid report does live research about your business across the web, which is the part that costs money to run and the part that tells you something you did not already know.
The vocabulary of AI visibility, without the consultant fog. If a term in your report is unfamiliar, it is defined here.
| AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) | Making your business easy for AI assistants to find, understand and recommend when someone asks them a question. SEO aims at a ranked list of links; AEO aims at being the answer. |
| GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) | Another name for the same practice, used more often by people coming from a content-marketing background. AEO and GEO mean the same thing in practice. |
| LLM (Large Language Model) | The kind of model behind ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. It answers from a mix of what it learned in training and what it can retrieve from the live web. |
| Structured data | Machine-readable facts added to a page in a fixed format, describing what the page is about: a business, its address, its services, its prices, its reviews. Humans never see it; machines read it first. |
| schema.org | The shared vocabulary almost all structured data uses. LocalBusiness, Organization, Service, FAQPage and Product are the types that matter most to a small business. |
| JSON-LD | The format search engines and AI crawlers prefer for structured data: a block of JSON in a script tag in your page's head. It is the format our reports hand you ready to paste. |
| robots.txt | A plain text file at yoursite.com/robots.txt telling automated visitors what they may read. A single mistaken line here can make your business invisible to an entire AI assistant. |
| GPTBot | OpenAI's crawler. If it is blocked in your robots.txt, ChatGPT cannot read your site to answer questions about you. |
| OAI-SearchBot | The crawler behind ChatGPT's live search. Separate from GPTBot, and separately blockable, which catches a lot of businesses out. |
| ClaudeBot | Anthropic's crawler, which is how Claude reads your site. |
| PerplexityBot | Perplexity's crawler. Perplexity cites its sources by name, so being readable by it is unusually visible. |
| Google-Extended | Google's separate control for whether your content may be used in Gemini and AI Overviews. Blocking it does not affect normal Google Search ranking, which is why people block it without realizing what they lose. |
| llms.txt | An emerging convention: a plain-language file at yoursite.com/llms.txt summarizing what your business is and does, written for models rather than people. Support is still uneven, but it costs almost nothing to add. |
| Citation | When an AI assistant names your business or links your page as the source of an answer. Citations are the AI equivalent of a first-page ranking. |
| Entity | How a model represents your business as a distinct thing in the world, separate from similarly named businesses. Consistent name, address and description across the web is what builds a clean entity. |
| Entity consistency | Whether your business name, address, phone number and description match everywhere they appear. Mismatches split your identity across several weak entities instead of one strong one. |
| sameAs | A schema.org property listing your other official profiles: Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Facebook, Yelp. It tells a model that all of those are the same business as you. |
| NAP | Name, Address, Phone. The three facts that must be identical across every directory listing you have. |
| Knowledge graph | A structured map of entities and how they relate. Google has one; the AI assistants build something similar. Businesses that exist clearly in these get described accurately. |
| Grounding | When a model answers from retrieved sources rather than from memory. Grounded answers are the ones where being crawlable pays off immediately. |
| Hallucination | When a model states something false with confidence. If the public record about your business is thin, models fill the gap with invention, which is why a sparse online presence is worse than none. |
| Zero-click | A search that ends without the user visiting any website, because the answer appeared in the results or the chat. A growing share of buying research is now zero-click. |
| Visibility gap | Our measure of the distance between how an AI describes your business today and how it would describe you if everything were in place. The revenue-at-risk figures are built from it. |
| E-E-A-T | Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust. Google's framework for judging content quality. AI assistants weigh similar signals when deciding whom to recommend. |
Free, about ten seconds, and the findings are free too.
